Amman, January 25 (Petra) – The Jordanian Armed Forces began implementing Royal directives issued by His Majesty King Abdullah II, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, aimed at restructuring and modernising the Arab Army to enhance its efficiency and readiness in addressing current and future security challenges.

The Royal directives focus on developing a comprehensive strategy and a clear roadmap to strengthen combat and operational capabilities, build a lean, flexible and high-quality military force capable of operating efficiently in diverse environments and keep pace with the requirements of modern and unconventional warfare.

They emphasise aligning the Armed Forces' organisational structure with operational tasks, modernising command, control and communications systems, enhancing integration among branches, formations and units and expanding the use of advanced military technologies, including unmanned systems and cyber capabilities.

The directives include strengthening reserve force capabilities, developing logistical support systems to ensure sustainable and efficient supply chains and supporting national defence industries in accordance with modern professional standards to enhance self-sufficiency and operational efficiency.

The Jordanian Armed Forces reaffirm their full commitment to implementing the Royal directives within a comprehensive strategic vision that enhances readiness and professionalism, enabling them to fulfill their national duties in safeguarding the Kingdom's security and defending its resources with efficiency and competence.
